Vietnam’s industrial production increased 16.7% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating from a downwardly revised 13.5% gain in the previous month and marking the fastest growth since January. Output growth accelerated across all major sectors, including mining (13.4% vs 12.1% in August), manufacturing (17.1% vs 14.0%), electricity and gas supply (15.5% vs 11.0%), and water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment (10.3% vs 7.3%). On a monthly basis, production grew by 3.3%. In the first nine months of 2026, industrial production expanded 12.3% from the same period a year earlier, supported by growth in all sectors.
