Croatia’s annual inflation rate rose to 4.7% in September 2026 from 4.2% in the previous month, marking the highest reading since May 2026, according to a preliminary estimate. The uptick was primarily driven by higher energy prices, which surged 20.5% year-on-year, reflecting ongoing pressures associated with the Middle East conflict. Services prices also continued to rise strongly, climbing by 7.6%, while food, beverages and tobacco prices edged up by 0.2%. Meanwhile, prices for non-food industrial goods without energy fell by 1.4%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.9%, following a 0.3% gain in the previous month.
