Retail sales in Estonia rose by 4.1% year-on-year in July 2026, accelerating from a 0.8% increase in the previous month. The growth was mainly driven by stronger sales of automotive fuel, which increased by 6.6% from a year earlier (vs 0.4% in June). Sales of food, beverages and tobacco (3.0% vs 1.0%) and non-food products excluding fuel (3.0% vs -0.1%) also increased. On a monthly basis, total retail trade volume increased by 2.8%, following a 1.9% gain in the preceding period, while sales gained 1% on a seasonally and calendar-adjusted basis. In the first seven months of 2026, retail sales volume was 4% higher than in the same period of 2025.
