US stocks rallied on Thursday as easing Greenland tensions and solid domestic data lifted sentiment, with the Nasdaq and the Dow gaining 0.7% each, while the S&P added 0.6% as earlier losses were retraced after President Trump stepped back from new tariff threats against Europe and pointed to a future framework agreement on Greenland. Mega cap technology shares led the advance, with Meta up 5.7%, Alphabet gaining 0.8%, Microsoft rising 1.5%, Apple adding 0.3%, Amazon up 1.3%, and Nvidia higher by 0.8%. Elsewhere, GE tumbled 7.4% despite beating earnings expectations, while Procter and Gamble climbed 2.7% even after missing on revenue. The macro backdrop reinforced confidence after Q3 GDP was revised up to 4.4%, weekly jobless claims hovered near 200K, PCE inflation matched expectations and consumer spending remained resilient, easing concerns over the need for near term policy easing.
