Vale gained 2.9% on firmer iron ore prices, while Petrobras soared 4.1% as oil rallied, lifting miners and precious metals stocks more broadly. Banks posted strong gains, with Banco do Brasil up 3.1%, Santander adding 1.9%, Bradesco rising 1.8%, and Itaúsa gaining 1.1% supporting market breadth alongside strength in select retail and logistics names. On the other hand, Axia underperformed losing 0.8% after disclosing more than R$1bn in water royalties paid in 2025. On the week the Sao Paulo exchange rocketed 8.6% amid improved revenues and easing near term funding stress. Tax collection reached a record BRL 2.89 trillion in 2025.
